Downtown Denver

Downtown Denver is a thriving district centered around a mile-long pedestrian promenade lined with outdoor cafes, and is home to three new professional sports stadiums, 300 restaurants, a restored historic Lower Downtown (LoDo) district, a collection of museums, a variety of galleries and shopping destinations, the second largest performing arts center in the nation.
Located in the center of a metro area with approximately 2.7 million people, Downtown Denver’s business opportunities draw employees from throughout the region. As the hub of the regional transportation system, Downtown Denver’s 110,000 employees have easy access to work. According to a Downtown Denver Partnership commuting survey, over fifty percent of Downtown employees take the bus, light rail, walk, bike or carpool to and from work.
Downtown is a prestigious business district with 25 million square feet of office space and 3.5 million square feet of retail space. Major Downtown industries include telecommunications, financial services, government, software development and energy. Downtown features more than 6,000 businesses in a variety of settings including modern office towers and historic lofts. For business travel, Downtown has 7,888 hotel rooms.
Some of Downtown Denver’s greatest assets are the adjacent neighborhoods in the center city. More than 62,000 people live within a 1.5 mile radius of Downtown’s center in neighborhoods that cross the spectrum of styles.
