Georgetown Loop Historic Railroad

The Georgetown Loop Mining and Railroad Park® is located only 45 miles from Denver and is nestled high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Interstate access west on I-70 takes you to the old mining towns of Georgetown and Silver Plume which are the two embarkation towns servicing the railroad.

Georgetown

Winter, Spring, Summer, & Fall all offer spectacular views of the mountains and are accompanied by the incredible feeling of stepping back into another time where the steam railroads ruled, mining was a way of life, and outlaws roamed the land. This fascinating historical site is all a part of the Georgetown Loop experience. The first 2 weekends in June offer added excitement with train robberies as part of the adventure.

Small intimate groups for the Hike and Ride excursion, large groups on Train and mine combo tours, or lunch time excursions with box lunches for Oktoberfest, Fall colors, spring and summer flowers, Winter day or evening adventures. All is available with a quick call.

Special $5 discount for TRAVELHOST telephone ticket sales during the month of JUNE!
